Best Date Night Spots In OKC

I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! Only two more days and we're into the weekend woohooo!! I seriously live for the weekends, since I get less that 24 hours a week with my hubby we like to take advantage of the time we get together. We are huge "foodie" people so when we decide to do date night it's normally a fancy restaurant and maybe drinks after.  With OKC expanding and becoming so huge on food and local places, I wanted to share some of mine and Stephens favorite date night spots.

1. Packards

I love this place hence why I rated it number one on this list. Their food is amazing especially their brunch. They have one of the best bloody marry's in OKC. I love the fact that they have their own rooftop bar that over looks the OKC skyline. It's  a spot where you can hangout with your friends or just your significant other after dinner is over either way is going to be a blast. Plus it is located in the heart of midtown and you can hit up Fassler Hall, Bleu Garten, or Kongs after you are done eating. 

2. Side Car NW OKC

This is a two spot stop, this upscale bar is a no brainer for a date night if you're looking for a chill glass of wine or signature cocktail. They have two locations but I personally prefer the new location in Chisholm Creek. I love that it's on the rooftop and they have a long glass fireplace that runs the length of the outside deck. It just screams romance and all you need is your S.O. and your favorite drink.

3. O Bar

Overlooking midtown this stunning lounge is located on the 7th Floor of the @AmbassadorOKC hotel. The view when the sun is setting is just a dream and is perfect for a romantic night. This is definitely a place that you will want to get dressed up for, so maybe a special occasion kind of place. 

4. The Ranch

Im just going to go ahead and say in my opinion they have the best steaks in OKC hands down. (Stephen would say Mahoganys downtown but we can beg to differ. Honestly they are both amazing.) I've been a lot of places and this place is by far my favorite. So If you are looking for a top notch steak well your search is over! 

5. Goro Ramen

I can't rave about this place enough!! I have always had a soft spot in my heart for ramen and maybe because its all I ate in college but I don't care I still love it. This place ,however, should not really be compared to the 50 cent packages you can get at the grocery store. This Ramen is like 100000 times better than the package ramen ever was. It's such a cute little trendy spot and you are going to want to order one of every single appetizer they offer! Yes, it is that good. 

6. The Drake

I will start this by saying I have not ate here yet but all of my friends rave about it. It's definitely on mine and Stephen's list of places to eat so I thought it should be put here for you guys as well. I'll try and update you guys when we do check this place out! 

7. Flint

One of my favorite patios in OKC! They have an amazing brunch as well as a super fancy dinner selections. This place is also located very close to Chesapeake Energy Arena so you can eat here and then catch a Thunder game or concert. 

8. Andy's Frozen Custard

This is a new spot in NW OKC and I am silently cursing them bc they are less than a mile from my house. You know how much will power that it takes to not eat there every day??!! They do not serve food; only ice creams, custards, shakes, etc... but I don't hear anyone complaining. I have yet to try anything except for the snowmonster mainly because it's beyond amazing and I have a hard time deviating from something when I love it. 

9. Red Rock Canyon Grill (Lake Hefner)

I recommend this place on Thursday nights mainly because during the summer they have a live band! If you go here you have to get the Dip Duo with Tortilla Chips, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. They also have a huge selection of wines and they have an outside patio that over looks the lake which is gorgeous! 

10. Cheevers  

You would think you were trying to get into some place in LA on a Saturday night. If you are wanting to try this hot spot out you will definitely want to book a couple weeks in advance! I will say it 100 percent lives up to the hype and worth planning a head for. They have one of the best brunches in town and their dinner is also divine!

My Favorite local boutiques OKC

Hey loves! I hope everyone is having a great Sunday and a Happy Fathers Day. We are cooking out tonight with Stephens parents and celebrating with them since my parents live in Montana. But while my hubby is napping I thought I would share with you some of my favorite local boutiques here in Oklahoma. I am a huge fan of all things local and of course supporting local business is what keeps our economy alive. I know I am not alone in this and most Oklahomans are wanting to support more local businesses! With online shopping becoming so huge I feel like store front boutiques are so rare to come by. I personally love to go into a store and try things on and brows around the cute boutiques. I have a very short torso and long legs so I feel like I need to try on clothes because they never seem to look the same as they do on the hanger. I linked their Instagram handles below and my thoughts.

This list originally started with 10 boutiques but I wanted to really narrow it down to my absolute favs the ones I actually shop at!

1. The clothing bar in Norman  

They have the cutest trendy and affordable clothes. I got the blue romper I am wearing above here! This romper is so cute and has a silky feel. I also love the embroidered flowers I think it's a nice touch. If you call them they can ship you anything from their insta feed. You can find this locally owned boutique in Norman.

2. Mode  

This cute little boutique always has the trendiest clothes and they don't keep a huge stock of just one item so you don't have to worry about everyone in town running around in the same top as you. Its right across from waffle champion in Midtown! 

3. Lush Fashion Lounge  

If you haven't heard of Lush well idk where you have been because they have a very large selection of pikos and other cute outfits. They will have an outfit for any occasion and you can find them by cafe 7 on May!

4. Stella Rae's

Love this place! They have $20 Tuesdays and they have a huge box giveaway every Tuesday if you follow them on Facebook. 

5. The Lime Leopard

A little pricier but they do not disappoint they have a lot of your higher end items and they have a large selection of rustic cuff items. You can find them located in Northpark mall on May and 122nd st. 

7.  Steel velvet boutique

This locally owned boutique in Chickasha,Ok has some of the cutest rompers and kimonos. This boutique might be a little bit of a drive but if you find something on their insta they will ship to you!

Is anyone else as obsessed with this Pink drink from Starbucks as me? It seriously taste like a pink starburst! Right now I am on a hard core no sugar no carb diet since me and Stephen are headed to Mexico in less than 2 months! So of course to keep my sanity I have one cheat meal and that pink drink was it this week! Now that it's summer time, it's out with the little black dress and in with the little white dress! I love this one from Impressions boutique! The lace detail and bell sleeve sold me. It's so comfortable and it was less than $50! This dress is perfect for brunch on Sunday's or a bride to wear for her bridal shower! If you have a long torso and long legs this dress might be to short and need to be paired with a skinny jean. I have an unusually short torso so it worked as a dress for me. I paired it with these blue strappy heels from The clothing bar. These shoes were also under $50 and with the heel being a little shorter and chunky it made them comfy and easy to walk in. You can't find these shoes online but if you call the clothing bar and tell them I sent you then they will ship them to you! I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!! 💙💙
