If you know me you know I live for spots with a nice patio. This was my first time eating in Brookside and it did not disappoint. There were so many little restaurants with the cutest patios! I will definitely be back to try out the other restaurants. We went to R- bar and Grill and despite my initial thought that it would be mostly pub style food, I was wrong! They did have some pub style food but for the most part it was a pretty upscale menu. We got the truffle fries for an appetizer, my husband got the chicken and waffles, and I got the Sorrentino Salad.  They had a huge list of drinks and I got the Mercat Brut Rose' It was very fruity and bubbly! The atmosphere was fun and upbeat. Service was fantastic, our waitress was very in top of things. All and all I would definitely recommend it! Anyways on to my outfit! I got this top and short combo at Express! They were having a buy one get one half off special this past weekend so I was all over that. If you get the chance to sign up for their emails, do it! They are always sending out coupons and letting you know their current sales. These shorts run very true to size and they are not stretchy so they aren't great for long trips FYI. I loved the lace detail and they made my casual outfit look a little fancier. The shorts come in black as well! This shirt was super comfy and I loved the color! It also comes several other colors and different cuts. These cute sandals are Steve Madden and I'm completely obsessed with them. I will link all outfit details below!

Lake life is the best life."

When your husband ask you to pack for the lake what do you do? Of course run to your favorite boutique @lushfashionokc and pick up some "must haves". This dress was on that list, along with 2 other tanks (It's the lake, I consider tanks and sundresses necessities okay?). I mean how perfect is this multi colored striped dress? You can jump off the boat throw this puppy on and be ready to go. Today I dressed it up for the perfect mothers day outfit with earings and sandals! I love the colors of this dress I think this green is everything this season and everywhere. Also let me just state I am wearing this backwards..... I liked the tie in the front so before you judge me just know that I know its on backwards lol. I paired it with sandals because I wear heels all week and my feet were screaming for something else also sandals seemed more appropriate "lake attire". As for accessories I've been pining after these trendy tassel earrings for months. So when I saw them at Lush and at an affordable price, I was like yes puh-lease!

Also mondays in may they are running specials so make sure to follow them on social media for more details.

The Clothing Bar

I am living for these rose gold sunnies!! They were giving me major festival vibes and if you know me then you know I gravitate to all things rose gold. This outfit made me feel like I was at Calf fry even though I am much to old for that now a days but back in college that was definitely my jam. These booties were so cute and will translate well into summer and fall!

As I said before these booties translate well for many outfits!! Can we just talk about these jeans for a second... I am 5'9 and thanks to crossfit I have a curvy lower half and these jeans are seriously perfect! The fit is amazing and they didn't break the bank, plus they are stretchy!! So lets just take a moment of silence for that..... to say its hard for me to find jeans that fit correctly is an understatement. So when Hayley gave me these and in a size smaller then I usually am I kind of laughed to myself, but boy was I mistaken these babies were perfection. I am also loving the holy t-shirt trend going on right now, it kind of screams hobo chic and that's okay with me.

When I saw this dress I was in awe and its under $100! I am completely on board with the cold shoulder look now a days, anything flowy, floral, and cold shoulder, you can sign me up. I loved it, and paired with these heels it made a perfect Spring/Summer wedding or fancy look.

Who else is always on the search for cute, trendy, and affordable boutiques? I know I am! My biggest thing when finding a new spot is to make sure the employees know what they are talking about. I love being able to walk in to a store and the staff know exactly what to put you in! That's what you will find at the clothing bar! These ladies know their stuff and will help you find the perfect outfit for any event and it will be in budget. If you swing by their store they are located in Carriage plaza, on Main street in Norman.
